TYPES OF TEA

Example content image

There are many different types of tea, especially if you include herbal teas. However, teas produced from Camellia sinensis (the tea plant) fall into one of seven main types:

White tea: made from un-Wilted and unoxidized
Oolong tea: made from wilted, bruised, and partially oxidized
Black tea: made from wilted, crushed, and fully oxidized
Yellow tea: made from un-wilted and unoxidized but allowed to yellow
Green tea: made from wilted and unoxidized
Post-fermented tea: This is green tea that has been allowed to ferment

Other ‘teas’ are tisanes or herbal teas.
